A mysterious “news” outlet has cropped up and has published hundreds of emails and documents that were included in a Free of Information request placed with North Cowichan.
The Gibe News web site has published a database containing the FOI responses that contain emails and other information relating to communications from current council members Kate Marsh, Rob Douglas and Christopher Douglas in connection with the Official Community Plan revision process and council’s climate change committee.
The Gibe News site provides no information about who is behind it, nor any contact information.
The news site posted a web link to the FOI database and invited readers to review the material themselves.
